Mathematics
During our year in Kindergarten we will learn many skills to help us throughout our life. Some of the Math objectives we will master this year include: Rote counting from 1-100, Number Recognition 1-100, Patterns, Addition & Subtraction, Measurement, Estimating, Telling Time, Counting by 2's, 5's & 10's, Value of Money, One to One Correspondence, Ordinal Positions, Graphing.
Reading & Language Arts
This year, we will also learn reading skills that will help us become fluent readers everyday. Some of these skills include: Identifying all upper & lower case letters and sounds, Identify our sight words, Rhyming words, Develop legible handwriting, Write a sentence, Compare and Contrast, Cause and Effect, Identify Main Idea, Main Character and Setting of a story, Retell a Story, Beginning & Ending Sounds.
Social Skills
This year our students will acquire social skills they will carry throughout a lifetime. Some of these skills include: getting along with their peers, respecting elders and their school, sharing, caring for others, develop their attention span, taking turns, gross & fine motor skills.
